Nick Hanna

For Sheriff Nick Hanna, giving back is personal: “San Angelo is family. When you give back through great organizations like Meals on Wheels, your church, or at a school, that effort meets real-life needs. It helps someone make it another day and, more importantly, to know that someone cares.”

Being named a 2025 Community Champion is humbling for Nick, who points out that the real heroes are the volunteers who show up daily, often behind the scenes, to serve others. His own community involvement goes beyond his role as Sheriff, he serves on the executive board of the Child Advocacy Center, is active in his church, and even officiates high school football.

Inspired by Treptow’s Pledge, Nick’s life revolves around faith, family, and service. He and his wife Kelli have been married for 25 years, and he emphasizes that everything he does ultimately comes back to family and community.
