Lane Carter

Lane Carter believes that giving back starts at home. “This community molded me into what I am today. It’s the place I grew up and now the place where I raise my kids. I want to ensure that this community maintains the ideals and values that I grew up on,” he says.

Being named a 2025 Community Champion is a meaningful honor for Lane. “I don’t ever do anything for the recognition. My duty as a servant is to provide for others in this community, and I will continue to do so in any capacity that the Lord has willing.”

Lane’s service has included time as a city council member from 2016 until 2021 and now as Tom Green County Judge, where he acts as a facilitator for citizens and their needs.

A favorite source of inspiration? “Believe.” – Ted Lasso

Outside of his civic duties, Lane enjoys spending time with his two boys—cheering on Jackson at baseball games and digging in the dirt with Cohen.
