Nationally Certified Nutrition Center

The National Nutrition Certification Program is a peer-review program of the Meals on Wheels Association of America. The mission of the certification program is to ensure quality service and organizational accountability by setting national nutrition program standards. Certification by the Certification Review Board signifies that a meal program is performing its mission of providing nutrition services to the elderly and at-risk populations in a manner consistent with national program standards. The independent review team, made up of experts in their related fields, certifies that the nutrition program meets national standards of excellence.

With this certification,  Meals For The Elderly joins a prestigious group of organizations across the country dedicated to providing quality senior nutrition services. There are only two certified Meals On Wheels organizations in West Texas, Meals For The Elderly and Meals on Wheels Plus of Abilene.

Other certified programs in Texas include Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County, Meals-on-Wheels of Johnson and Ellis Counties, and Meals on Wheels and More of Austin.
