Why We Love Jenny:
Jenny was chosen for her faithful service to clients, volunteers, and staff at Meals For The Elderly over the past decade. She is also recognized for her work with Faith In Action, a group which helps homebound seniors without transportation get to medical appointments, and at her local church, where she also volunteers.
Jenny’s humor makes her a favorite with the staff, who credit Jenny with keeping the office bright and lighthearted, but Jenny claims the people she meets each day are her motivation to continue at 84 with the same bright spirit she had when she worked at the Standard Times for 55 years.
She says delivering to many of the same clients for multiple years and the relationships she has with them keep her coming back. “It is self-serving,” Jenny stated, “I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people on my route.”
